Cervical neuro-stimulator

Posted in Group:

Does anyone have a neuro stim for c2-7? I have been in constant pain for over a year now and cannot control the nerve pain. In Dec of 2010, I had to quit my job and am not ready to retire. I am hoping that the stim will help control the pain and allow me to enjoy a quality life again. At this point, I would ba happy doing some volunteer work a few days a week, I do know that I have to get out of the house and do something that matters.

Last week was the first time that I had any thoughts of ending it all. I never thought that I would ever have these thoughts, but I am in constant pain and worried that I will not be able to handle this if the doc cannot help me control the pain.

Thankfully, my faith is strong, so as sick as I am right now, I do get myself to church and Bible study. That has been what is saving me.

I don't have any personal experience with this, but I was wondering if you had tried chiropractic manipulation or accupuncture to help with the pain? It must be awful to feel like you are stuck with this terrible pain, but I hope that if you try a number of different things you might strike upon one that helps minimize the suffering.

Wishing you brighter days ahead-

I don't have experience with it either, but I feel like it's often the last path taken. My doctors have recommended it as well. I had two surgeries on my neck for disc herniation. I had a c6-7 then 15 months later it was redone and the disc above was done. Fusions at both sites. I've had persistent neuropathic pain since and I'm about to explode. I've done it all and get your concerns about wanting to throw in the towel. I'm hoping to find support on this site. Good luck to you
