Frustration

Posted in Group:

I have been out of work since 1-23-12 because of medical issues. I have applied for short term disability but the process has become soooooo difficult. I am trying not to stress, but it is incredibly hard when I am the only one taking care of me. AAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!

Keep your head up. I was out of work for almost a year and finally landed a job. Unemployment can really mess with your head. Just follow the instructions of how to get your short term disability. Do one step at a time and you should be able to get your benefits. Take it easy... I fully understand how stressful it can get.

Best of luck, Lily

I have been following their instructions for getting short-term disability. There have just been so many delays, and no one can give me any answers. I don't want to lose my health insurance because I can't pay my premiums. I know...just breathe.

I found this website one day on Facebook and they were talking about getting SSI for diabetes. This link is actually for another condition but you could maybe contact them. I hope it helps.

Checked that out already. Can't get SSI until I have exhausted all other options. That's why I am fighting for Short-term Disability because I am still technically employed at this point even though I am not working right now.

I was getting the short term disability thru my job after having my surgery 8/18. Am now in the process of applying for long term social security disability & it is a CRAZY process. What is the status of your short term application? Are u attempting to get the disability so u can stop working?
