hopelessly devoted

I fail yo understand why expressing concerns about my abilities coping w/condition w/in certain enviornments when I am vulnerable translates into being crazy basically (since its recommended my being be totally altered)and negative. I guess I keep failing to measure up and am a bother. What am I going to do? Its like asking a bird to swim, or a horse to fly.I wish I could be more like a success story and be in the movies, or something. I just want to be accepted and those to understand I do not want this. Why would I have surgery if I did not want to be better? Even the surgeon joked I wanted more surgery when I told him my pain was there. Believe me, I've had complications and it is not fun. There are plenty of things Id rather do. My envioronment are professors who make me cry when I'm in pain. I feel like crap and cannot move...getting the mail is a success, and this is the truth. Ahhhhh help, the doctors just look at me like I'm stupid

So what are your options to deal with said condition besides a.) surgery, b.) continued debilitating pain?
