Hello:
I am a Tufts University student studying Pain Research Education and Policy getting my Masters in Science. I am writting a paper on The benifits and drawbacks to an online pain support system. I would like your input. No names or identifiers will be used I am just looking for info more about the system does it help, hurt, or any comments or suggestions. This is not a research paper just an informative paper.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Yes this site helps. All of us that hurt 24/7 need an outlett. People in your everyday life that do not have chronic pain just do not want to hear it. I am not saying they do not care, they just do not understand. When the pain get bad for a long period of time it plays on you emotionally talking helps you get thru it. I userally try and talk to someone who is in their first few years and share all that has helped me. It takes my mind off my own pain and seems to help with the anxiety from days of no sleep and pain. Hope this helps you.

Sounds like you are using great skills to help you through this pain. I know that I expererience Pain in my life and my anti-depressants help alot with it. Takes the edge off. I have bad feet so my whole body is off and that was what caused all the pain all of my life. I can deal with it now this is all what counts right now. Sometimes I have to take Advil or something if it is too bad. Sometimes the chiro helps but sometimes none of those helps.

Yes, it helps allot. When you realize, you are not alone and many out there have it. It doesn't seem as unusual or mysterious. Plus you can get support and advice from others, experiencing the same pain as you. Nothing more helpful, than talking directly (writing) to others, with your same situation (pain).

What doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger. But, that doesn't mean, you'll ever forget. We are all here together. Must be for a good reason :-).
